2017 Gippsland Multicultural Festival

 DAY 1: Multicultural Ball in Kernot Hall: 6pm - 11pm

Cost of ticket: $40.00; Seating - Tables of 10

Door prizes, Live band (Hot Mess from Melbourne), buffet, dance, ethnic dress competition, Santacruzan parade and entertainment. Strictly formal attire or cultural dress. BYO drinks. Adults only. Catering by Maddison’s, Moe 

DAY 1: Saturday 17th June 2017 – 1st GECC Multicultural Ball in Kernot Hall, Morwell

·        National Anthem

·        Welcome – GECC Chair, Dr Christine Lee

·              Guest Speaker Mr Mario Sammut OAM

President, Maltese Community

·        7.00pm Buffet Commences, by table

·        8.00pm Santacruzan

·        8.30pm Anglo-Indian Performance

·        Band/Dancing

·        9.00pm Baladjay Ballroom Dancing

·        9.00pm Buffet Desert

·        9.15pm Multicultural Fashion Parade

·        9.40pm Cultural Dance Performance (Rose Simonsin)

·        9.50pm Singer Grace Deverala

·        9.55pm Golden (Filipino Singer)

·        10.00 Presentations to winners of fashion parade & other presentations

·        Band/Dancing

·        11.00pm Closing Remarks

 

DAY 2:  Multicultural Festival in Immigration Park: 10.30am - 3.30pm

FREE family outdoor event in Immigration Park in Morwell.  Performers include Sale RSL Pipe Band, Kinloch Trio, Mady Keita's African Drumming Academy, PoisE'n Bollypop, Mel Pollard, Grace Deverala, FIlipino dancers, Ati-Atihan. Safer Communities Group - NHW Latrobe City/Morwell sausage sizzle , Yum Yum, Filipino food, Fairy Floss, Pop Corn, Cafe2U. Clown, face painting, henna tattoo, and other stalls.  Please wear traditional or cultural dress and join the Multicultural Parade at about noon, with some carrying their national flag.
